The Amo Salon at the Institut für Europäische Ethnologie (July 2024)

As part of the Amo collective’s counter mapping days I was invited to create a playground that would compliment the cartographic work of Moses März. Akan philosophy and and symbolism was integral to the counter mapping project honouring Amo’s Ghanaian heritage. taking Akan symbolism and different street games from the African continent I created a space of play that made us reconnect with our bodies, experience time and space differently and reminded us how play is an essential life force.
